Obama Raises Our Intelligence When He Speaks.

This morning my daughter brought me my coffee and remarked sarcastically “What would people do

without a television or radio?”  I was watching Obama speak to The United Nations.

Her question was interesting. Why do I now watch television when I never used to turn it on?

Does it make a difference in the big picture if I listen to Obama?  Why do I want to listen?

The fact is the world is  connected, and the attitude of the United States affects the whole world.

The thoughts of one affects everyone else.  The only way our world will rise to a place where humans

are equal and  able to live a decent life, is by all of us growing our ability to vibrate at a high vibration.  Each

time a being like Obama speaks to the world his thoughts and ideas make me proud to be an American.

While Bush was president, I was not proud.  In many ways I was ashamed to be associated with that

administration.

With Obama I hear compassion combined with strength.  I hear high intelligence with education and

an understanding of the big picture of our world.  I hear a realistic view of what is happening in our

world and what is possible with cooperation and understanding.  I am so proud of him, of us now.

He has brought back the feeling that our forefathers wanted us to have.  We are all responsible for our

world.  Nobody can hide away and not be affected, no matter how rich they are.

There are no longer any secrets. The only secrets are kept by those who keep their ostrich heads in the sand.

We can imagine we are not responsible for others, but it is not true.   We cannot fix others, we can set an

example and lend a hand.  We will not be able to  truly enjoy our good life as long as anyone is suffering. We can try to avoid

the damage that is being done to others, but truthfully it affects us all.

I feel the pain of the world even when I am enjoying a sunset, taking the hand of a little child, reading an amazing book,

or listening to fabulous music and even eating a wonderful meal. Somewhere back in my psyche is the realization that all is

not well with the world.

Obama gives me such hope and optimism about the possibilities of our country, our world.   His head is not in the clouds.

He knows how much work there is to do.  The change is that he also believes in the possibilities and does not want to build fear

in our hearts, but offers us a way to make the world a better place.  I join him in his attitude and beliefs and his leadershipof the most powerful country in the world.   He is a glimpse in the dark as Gadhifi even says during his ranting speech.

I will keep my  eye on the light of Obama and support the goodness in our world and the possibility that  things can begin to change  for the better will come and hope that change comes more rapidly than it has for all the years before now.  It is time.  We are one and we must take that responsibility.
